My journey to the booth started as happenstance. I was the sports editor for the university newspaper and the student radio station needed help on their football broadcast. I jumped on a headset with no idea what I was doing, but low-and-behold it turned out I have a knack for this radio thing.

I always tell people "I am a fan first and a broadcaster second." Sports are exciting, loud, energetic, and FUN, and I try to convey that energy and passion in every broadcast. I have the best job (if you can call it that) in the world. Not only do I get to travel around the country talking about sports, but I get to share the untold stories of many great student-athletes. The backstories, triumphs and tribulations, and random connections that bring listeners closer to the team are what I live for.

Nothing beats a Saturday down South, or a midweek day game, an upset on the hardwood, or a series-opening doubleheader. I love being able to paint the picture of the mind through radio, and I hope you'll allow me to break out my paint brush.
